Omila Bir – Walking in Harmony with Nature

Sustainability – Omila’s work emphasises utilising plants from her garden and nature which do not cause any harm to the local flora.

Contacting the local council to identify prunings so they can be accessed has been a great strategy as well. It gives an opportunity to celebrate the beauty and diversity of nature.

Cultural Roots: Omila’s love for textiles and natural dyeing is deeply rooted in her Indian heritage.

She sources her materials from small-time weavers in India, supporting local artisans and preserving traditional craftsmanship. Her work is a blend of cultural heritage and contemporary artistry, creating pieces that are both timeless and unique.
